Barbara L. (Hauskins) Jacobson went to her maker on July 3, 2015, after many complications of her past medical problems.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two former husbands, many friends and several other relatives.
She is survived by her husband, Joe L. Jacobson; one son, Craig (Lillie) Wood; one sister, Deann (John) Tilton; one brother, Mike (Theola) Hauskins, all of Cedar Rapids; in-laws; former husband, Donald Wood; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends, karaoke friends and "adopted" family and children.
Barbara was born on March 22, 1947, to Ward J. and Mina L. (Casner) Hauskins. She had many medical problems through her life, had known many people of various backgrounds and still tried to reach out as a friend to others who seemed unable to reconcile friendships with her. She still remained friends with the family of her past spouses, and the spouses too, and helped them when she was able. She had been a busperson and telemarketer, she also tried to improve herself by completing a GED and some college. She remained disabled for more than 18 years before she passed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
