Aucutt, Richard 'Dick' I.
CEDAR RAPIDS - Richard “Dick” I. Aucutt, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, at his home. Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering to honor and celebrate Dick's life from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 6827 Kiowa Trace NE. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Dick is survived by his sister, Margaret Schillig of California; two brothers, Donald of Kentucky and Paul “Tony” (Jan) of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, William, David, Leon and James.
Richard Irving Aucutt was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Iowa City, son of Irvin and Leona Murphy Aucutt. Dick served in the Marine Corps from 1956 to 1960, stationed in Okinawa. He was an iron worker and later worked for Asplundh Tree Service.
Dick was a Golden Gloves boxer. He loved NASCAR racing and his pets.
