Clarke, Randy Charles

Randy Charles Clarke, 56, of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly after battling a long illness on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, at his home. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna Dains; his mother, Bernice Clarke of Cedar Rapids; his children, Chrystal (Carl) Dains-Clarke of Stanwood, Shoady Clarke, Joshua Clarke and Tabitha (Stanley) Clarke, all of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Isaac, Lexis and Alissa and two more on the way; two brothers, Harold Clarke of Marion and Robert Clarke Jr. of Coralville; and three sisters, Roberta Gorsh, Kathy McMurray of Cedar Rapids, and Helen Marsh of Marion.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Clarke Sr.; and a sister, Margret Clarke.

Randy was born July 15, 1955, the son of Robert and Bernice (Huggins) Clarke Sr. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A graduate from Washington High School, he worked in the construction business for many years.

Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. All were very special to him.

Randy was a great husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, who will be deeply missed.
