Breaking down the Boys' State Tournament

The girls are in the thick of their tournament, but with only one team from Eastern Iowa left in contention - the No. 2 Women of Troy - we're taking a look ahead to next week's Boys' State Basketball Tournament at Wells-Fargo Arena. Linn-Mar is making their record ninth straight state tournament appearance after North Carolina signee Marcus Paige scored 49 points in an incredible comeback against Cedar Rapids Kennedy in the substate final. Other teams from the Metro area that have earned their way to Des Moines include Cedar Rapids Jefferson and title favorites Iowa City West. Hwy 30 is well-represented as well, with Lisbon, Mount Vernon and North Cedar all heading to state.
