Women have constitutional right to health care choices
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am amazed at the number of laws being passed that invade a woman's body against her will, deny her a constitutional right to health care choices, deny availability to contraception and limit doctors' ability to practice medicine as they see fit, all enacted by mostly a bunch of men with no medical licenses or specialized knowledge.
It seems to me that any other people trying to inflict this on a woman would at least be guilty of practicing medicine without a license, which would negate all the specious laws passed by these non-medical people.
I would also like to see some responsibility assigned to the other participant in unwanted pregnancies - how about the guys have to pay all the costs for the unnecessary testing, prenatal care and medical expenses related to any problems with an unwanted pregnancy and sole custody of the child if the mother is denied her constitutional right to choice? Or maybe send all the bills to Congress and/or your state legislature.
It's time to take back our constitutional right to reproductive choice.
