Rorman, Wayne D.
Wayne D. Rorman died Feb. 6, 2010.
He was born May 10, 1919, near Blue Earth, Minn. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1937 and from Sioux Falls College, with a major in math and chemistry, in 1941. In 1943, he married Cleo Swenson of Viborg, S.D. Wayne was a Navy pilot in World War II and received the Navy Cross, Silver Star, Air Medal and DFC. Wayne was employed for many years by Cargill, Inc. with most of those years spent in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Cleo; one daughter, Linda, and her husband, Mike Mulcahy; two grandsons, Matthew and Marc, and their wives, Cassie and Kirstin; and two great-grandchildren, all of the Denver area. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Parks of Nevis, Minn.
