Letter: Climate change detrimental to humans

With all the present weather conditions ongoing in our country, it's a prelude to what is coming as a result of climate change and demise of our environmental conditions.
Henry Pollack, author of 'A World Without Ice” and a 40-year professor of geophysics at the University of Michigan, reveals how much worse it will be in the near future. Because of the atrocious lobbying by oil and coal companies of Congress all the real facts are bring distorted and hidden from us. In the not too distant future our temperatures will rise 8-10 degrees and the oceans will rise 6-10 feet and the air and safe water sources will be at dangerous levels.
It's also predicted that our oil, coal and natural gas sources will be depleted in less than 75 years to zero. With all the depletion of the ice in the North Pole region, all living creatures, as well as humans, will suffer greatly and life as we have experienced will be a fond and sorry memory for future generations.
Read the book and discover how pathetic our government is operating and what our children and grandchildren are to experience.
