Hutchcroft, Edward L.

Edward L. Hutchcroft, 87, of Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, at the United Methodist Church in Washington, with Pastor Jim Stiles officiating. Military honors will be accorded following the funeral service Friday morning at the church. General calling hours will be from noon until 5 p.m. Thursday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington and the family will be present to receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church. Interment will take place 2:30 p.m. Friday at Kossuth Cemetery, rural Mediapolis.

Edward is survived by his son, David Hutchcroft and wife Linda of Mount Pleasant; daughter, Diana Anderson and husband Michael of Robins; daughter Judith Abbott of Fairview Heights, Ill.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the United Methodist Church or Halcyon House.
