In Iowa Senate District 18, we have the opportunity to elect someone to replace outgoing Sen. Swati Dandekar, who repeatedly reached across the aisle and took a moderate view on issues. Let's make sure to keep that open flow of ideas with another great communicator.

Liz Mathis has shown throughout her professional life to be an objective and knowledgeable communicator. She understands the necessity of being a leader who does reach across the aisle. She does not seek to perpetuate the “us versus them” mentality in Des Moines. She has firsthand knowledge, through her experience, with the workings of our state government. Liz has pledged to listen to her community and communicate their needs to the leaders in Des Moines. Liz can help to bring together the two sides and be a part of taking Iowa through the current economic climate and into a brighter future.
