Letter: Area bikers shouldn’t pedal drunk either

In Saturday's Gazette there was an article about the new street extension for NewBo, to make better access. I can only assume the city has once again dipped into the street repair funds for this and will continue to neglect needed repairs.
I have always admired all the bicycle riders as I can no longer participate, but I also think making better access for them to go to NewBo on the weekends and sit in the various bars and drink themselves into a stupor is uncalled-for. There is never any law enforcement presence as they stumble their way to their bikes and then try to ride away. This is called public intoxication. Any one going to their car would be arrested for a DWI. Seems to be a lot of favoritism going on.
They already do not have to obey any traffic laws so why would they obey DWI laws?
