Pruett, John E.
John E. Pruett, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Cedar Rapids; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike Pruett and Jean Stuart of Anchorage, Alaska; a grandson, John Tyler Pruett and his wife, Miranda Pruett, of Austin, Texas, and his mother, Elaine Pruett of Cedar Rapids; a great-grandson, Henry Edgington Pruett, and his mother, Amanda Edgington of Austin, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elsie Pruett.
John E. Pruett was born June 28, 1916, in Palo, Iowa. On July 8, 1946, he married Darlene Hale in Cedar Rapids.
