Letter: Ashley Hinson listens to the voters

Very few politicians seem to do much listening anymore. They talk, talk, talk, talk and talk. Commercials, junk mail, phone calls, sound bites - candidates don't seem to care what we the people have to say. I did meet one though - Ashley Hinson.

She is a candidate for Statehouse that is doing things a little differently. She has knocked on thousands of doors to hear what the voters of District 67 think. She listens - yes, I know - shocking. I believe she is uniquely qualified to bring a breath of fresh air to Des Moines. We all know they need it.

So if you are tired of being talked at instead of listened to, please vote for Hinson on Nov. 8.

And if you have grown weary of tax and spend policies in our state, vote for Hinson for a more reasonable approach to our state budget.
