Letter: Beware of the mountain lion

Regarding John Braumann's Dec. 18 letter 'Time for Iowa to protect mountain lions”:
What are you thinking? Do you hunt at all? I have hunted in Iowa all my life. I have taken a lot of children out to hunt.
What would you say if the next headline on The Gazette was about a child being eaten by a mountain lion? Dad or grandpa shot at, but missed, and the lion killed a child. Would that make it OK?
Would you like me to invite you and your grandkids out on my next hunt? I have land in northeast Iowa and if you and your grandkids want to go, I will take you. I would not want to see a mountain lion want to eat us while you are having a good time with your kids.
