Homosexuality is biological; be proud

Regarding Dolores Underwood's condemnation of same-sex marriage (Oct. 26 letter): Asserting your belief in “hell” and the “wrath of God” are evidence of your good fortune that your beliefs are protected by the Constitution. Believing in a deity is faith-based and a choice.
Meanwhile, the natural biological make-up called homosexuality is not a choice, which I believe neuroscience research will continue to show. Science research methods require test, test and re-test. Unfortunately, the homosexual population has to endure ignorance and oppression in the meantime.
What must it be like to be studied - for science to have to disprove that you chose your lifestyle, and for it to be only a theory that you are biologically predetermined as the rest of us are, and that you are a citizen worthy of equality? If you believe in hell, Underwood, consider it “time-served” for gays here on earth.
To the gays, particularly the young: You are created in God's likeness just as we straights are. You are perfect just the way you are. Perfect.
