Crash near Kalona kills car's driver
One person was killed when a vehicle crashed into a ditch late last night near Kalona.
It happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday near the corner of Orange Avenue and 110th Street.
The vehicle was reportedly on its top and submerged in water, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The car's driver, who hasn't yet been identified pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kalona firefighters and Washington County deputies were on scene for more than two hours investigating.
