Gunshots reported, bullet casings found in SE Cedar Rapids
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Police are investigating a report of multiple gunshots fired Saturday night in Southeast Cedar Rapids.
Police responded at about 6:00 p.m. to a report of multiple gunshots near the intersection of 4th Ave. and 16th St. SE.
Police at the scene said they found several bullet casings on the ground, but they have little information as witnesses have not been cooperative.
Around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night squad cars patrolled the area again for a report of shots fired near 16th street SE and Bever Avenue.
No injuries were reported and the incidents remain under investigation. Officials have not said whether the two events are related.
