In spirit of state fair, Corbett offers ‘books-on-a-stick’
We'll see how this does compared to the deep-fried candybars.
Cedar Rapids Mayor Ron Corbett is promoting his bid for governor at the Iowa State Fair. And at the event where nearly everything edible comes on a stick, Corbett has decided to offer up for consumption his campaign launching book, Beyond Promises, on a stick as well.
In a Twitter post, Corbett credits Gazette Insights editor Todd Dorman for coming up with the idea.
Dorman confirmed that did indeed mention something about putting books on a stick, but he had intended it as a joke.
'I guess he decided to run with it,” Dorman said.
