Bloemers, Arlene M.
Arlene M. Bloemers, 79, of Cedar Rapids, happily joined the Lord Jesus on May 31, 2011. Per Arlene's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include four children, Gary Holmes, Verna Bell, Diana Woznicki and Mark Holmes. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Myron Coppock, Francis Bloemers and Roberto Hines; a brother, Kenneth Wolleat; and sister, Yvonne Arnold.
Arlene was born March 22, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Ellen Wolleat. She was employed at St. Luke's Hospital in the 1970s and also by Family Service Agency as a home health aide until her retirement. Arlene was a very active supporter of the Christian Children's Fund since 1986 and sponsored numerous children throughout her life.
