Embrace money spent on elections

To the editor:
Todd Dorman's article bemoaning the money spent on the elections missed the point ('Outside cash made Senate race costly waste,” Nov. 9). The $61.7 million spent in Iowa on one election from outside groups by any other name would be economic stimulus. I would venture his employer hasn't complained about the outside revenue that helps keep their doors open with gainfully employed Iowans (including our local carrier, thanks!).
As we gear up for the presidential election, let's embrace the flood of visitors and dollars spent here while the rest of the country looks to Iowa to pick the next two nominees. Keep the money flowing to Iowa, get involved and enjoy the notoriety.
