Keefe, Judge Joseph C.

Judge Joseh C. Keefe,  82, of Decorah, died Monday evening, Aug. 3, 2009, at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah following a sudden illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Decorah by the Rev. Phillip Gibbs. Burial will be in St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah, with a rosary recited by the 3rd Degree Council 4208 Decorah Knights of Columbus at 4 p.m., an Honor Guard from 5:30 to 7 p.m. by the 4th Degree Davis Assembly Knights of Columbus and a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation continues on Friday at 8 a.m. at the funeral home.

Joe is survived by his wife, Lola of Decorah; his two daughters, Kathryn K. Davis of Minneapolis and Mary K. (Michael K.) Grove of Edina, Minn.; two grandsons, Michael J. and Matthew J. Grove of Edina, Minn.; one brother, Dr. Patrick (Rosemary) Keefe of De Witt; and many nieces and nephews.
