Marian Mensing, 88, of Lowden, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at the Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Services: Trinity Lutheran Church, in Lowden, Saturday, 2 p.m. Clergy officiating: Reverend Victor YoungBurial: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland.
Marian was born May 1, 1921, in Lowden, daughter of Albert & Louise (Butterbrodt) Licht.She married Victor Mensing on Sept. 26, 1948.
She is survived by her husband Victor; daughter Julie Einck of Dubuque; sons Mark (Jacquelyn) of Franklin, Ind., and Dick (JoAnn) of Lowden; also surviving are five grandchildren and one great grandchild.Preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
