A Paul win in Ames could wake up America
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I am not a Tea Party member, nor am I a spokesman for Ron Paul.
The problem I see is not with parties, but within parties. There are many patriotic and conservative Democrats but presently they do not see enough difference to switch or cross vote.
In the Republican Party, too many are swayed by the news media and liberal politicians, posing as conservatives, to consistently get good people nominated.
If the progression of events continues in the present mode, regular Republicans will again be victims of the same old same old. Liberal
and phony conservatives will have their way
with us unless we stand up to them in this nomination.
We have two opportunities, the Iowa Straw Poll held in Ames on Saturday and the first-in-the-nation caucus in February.
I'm a Ron Paul supporter and this is something that could be done for this exceptional candidate.
I cannot emphasize enough the importance of being present in Ames to win this event. If Paul could win this, it would put our liberal news media on the spot. Do they give Paul the recognition he deserves or would they continue to snub his candidacy? If they do that, it might wake America up to how biased our information system has become.
Since pioneer days, Iowans have worked together on big jobs that they and their families could not handle alone. Now we are faced with the biggest job of all, saving America and all of Western Christian civilization.
