Cedar Rapids mayoral candidate forum slated for Oct. 19
CEDAR RAPIDS - A Cedar Rapids mayoral candidate forum has been announced for Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The event, hosted by 1Strong, a community group focused on combating gun violence, will be held in Whipple Auditorium at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, 450 Fifth Ave. SE.
All mayoral candidates have been invited, according to a news release. Candidates are Kris Gulick, Brad Hart, Gary Hinzman, Scott Olson, Tim Pridegon, Jorel Robinson, Lemi Tilahun and Monica Vernon.
Early voting begins on Thursday and Election Day is Nov. 7.
