Trump planning Friday evening rally in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally Friday evening in Cedar Rapids, his campaign has announced.
Hours after Democrat Hillary Clinton wraps up a 'Women Win” rally in New Bohemia that afternoon, Trump will make a campaign appearance at 7 p.m. across the river at the McGrath Amphitheatre. Doors open at 4 p.m., his campaign said.
It will be the GOP presidential nominee's first general election visit to Cedar Rapids since July 28, when he attracted more than 3,000 to a rally at the downtown DoubleTree Hotel & Convention Center.
Trump's running mate, former Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, made a campaign appearance Aug. 22 at Modern Companies south of Cedar Rapids.
The Friday evening weather forecast calls for cloudy skies with a temperatures in the mid to upper 40s.
