Linda F. Engelking, 69, of Belle Plaine, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.
Linda was born Aug. 16, 1946, to Dale and Lorraine (Kaestner) Landgrebe in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Linda graduated from Washington High School in Vinton, Iowa. After high school, she earned her degree as a licensed practical nurse. She worked as an LPN at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton for several years.
She enjoyed the fine arts, music, drawing, being outdoors and spending time with grandkids and family.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Lori (Richard) Papesh of Belle Plaine, Iowa; sister, Cathy (Dean) Rogers of Oelwein, Iowa; brother, Keith (Jackie) Landgrebe of Milwaukee, Wis.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Franky) Gallardo and Lilly and Jeana Papesh; and many more loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, James Contino and Bob Engelking.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at First Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Pastor Dean Duncan officiating. A private family burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton, following the service. Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at the church.
