Jones, Mary J.
A celebration of life for Mary J. Jones, 90, of Washington, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at her home following a brief illness, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 1:30 p.m. at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with Pastor Virgil Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Schrock Cemetery, rural Washington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Ezra of Washington; four children, Marilyn Crandall of Brighton, Murlee Bohr of Cedar Rapids, Deborah (Albert) Hagerla of Edina, Mo., Mike (Lori) Jones of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, George (Ruth) Hanssen of Accokeek, Md.
Preceding Mary in death were her parents and seven siblings, Avelda Daly, Margaret Starkey, Paul Hanssen, Eileen Villagrana, Otto Hanssen, Muriel Highley and Dorothy Lloyd.
A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County.
