Daugherty, Patricia A.

Patricia A. Daugherty, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids by Chaplain Joe Kane. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Patricia was born April 23, 1942, the daughter of Ralph and Flora (Tharp) Barnard, in Cedar Rapids. On Jan. 30, 1960, she married Charles I. Daugherty. He died Dec. 27, 2007.

Pat enjoyed traveling with Charles and going to their cabin in Minnesota. She liked fishing and playing bingo, but especially loved the time spent with family and friends.

Survivors include four children, Bonnie (Joe) Fresh of Cedar Rapids, Connie (Stan) Garringer of Cedar Rapids, William (Beth) Daugherty of Mansfield, Texas, and Sharon (Jeff) McCarville of Cedar Rapids; 11grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie (Deane) Fennern of Vinton; a brother-in-law, Jerry Pavek of Covington, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Miri Barnard of Brainard, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her stepfather, Ted Chermak; a sister, Rose Pavek; and two brothers, Orval (Jean) Barnard and Roger Barnard.
