Garringer, John David
John David Garringer, 56, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Oct. 12, 2012, at his home. A remembrance luncheon will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the North English Community Center in North English. Following the luncheon, burial of cremains will be in Yankee Point Cemetery, rural Parnell.
He was born May 10, 1956, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Maymie Burkett Garringer (Luers) and the late Glenn Garringer. He was a professional truck driver and also repaired, maintained and rode motorcycles throughout the country.An avid adventurer, he enjoyed mountain climbing, chess, card games, travel, camping, fishing and sports. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his mother, Maymie Luers of Washington, Iowa; five brothers; one sister; four children, Cynthia Woolridge and Faith, David and Jacob Johnson; and seven grandchildren.
