JOANN MARIE STRAWN

JoAnn Marie (Durey) Strawn passed away peacefully April 28, 2017, in Los Angeles while visiting her daughter. She was surrounded by her family.
Survivors include her husband, Allan; her children, Donnette (Dan) Paxton, Terry Emanuel, Owen Emanuel, Michael (Becky) Strawn, Janice (Lyle) Palmer, Duane Strawn and Tonya (Stephen) Strawn; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
58 nieces and nephews; and her puppy, Chance.
JoAnn was native to Cedar Rapids and later became a snowbird, wintering in Casa Grande, Ariz.
Remembrances include the famous covered blue bus. Hobbies included crocheting afghans, making mink bears, and most of all, quilting (earning many ribbons).
Services will be scheduled upon her return to Iowa.
