Relocation expenses should not have been paid

Wow! Would I ever like to have a job like our new director of the Department of Revenue!
Courtney Kay-Decker gets reimbursed for relocation expenses and didn't even have to move. According to state policy, new hires are allowed to collect closing costs “incurred by the employee incidental to the purchase of a new principal residence.”
To me, a principal residence is the one you live in with your family, and her family is in a $750,000 house in Davenport. I find it hard to believe that anyone with common sense would consider her $210,000 condo in Des Moines her “principal residence” since she only spends 12 business days a month there and her family doesn't live there.
Why in the world would you pay her relocation expenses? Somebody better start watching the people who sign off on all these things, the governor included.
By the way, we'll probably be paying her health care, too.
