Your Arizona two deeps

Offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga is listed as a starter. Of course, he missed last week with an illness. Coach Kirk Ferentz said in his postgame that he believed Bulaga would be well and would return this week, but he also slid in there that somethings needed to be cleared.
The Monday depth chart is hardly a permanent proclaimation, but, for the most part this year, it's been pretty accurate. We'll see.
Dace Richardson moves inside to guard, making the O-line for this week's game against Arizona -- Bulaga and Kyle Calloway at tackles, Richardson and Julian Vandervelde at guards and center Rafael Eubanks. It's a another new combination. Ferentz expressed frustration last Saturday with the lack of continuity on the O-line. Obviously, a settled five would help.
The other big move on the chart is true freshman running back Brandon Wegher moving into No. 2 behind redshirt freshman Adam Robinson. In his second college game, Wegher gained 101 yards and scored a TD on 15 carries. Throw that in with the one-handed screen pass and the expectations are somewhere between Tim Dwight and Captain America. Kidding, a little.
On defense, sophomore Shaun Prater returns at left corner and is listed No. 2 behind sophomore William Lowe, who got the start late last week after freshman Greg Castillo was ruled out with a groin injury.
Junior wide receiver Paul Chaney Jr. has taken over on punt return and has a slice of kick return. He had a 20-plus punt return last week that was called back for an illegal block in the back.
Other notes (courtesy of Iowa sports info):
-- Iowa's six-game winning streak is currently tied for sixth best in the nation with Texas and Nebraska. Utah holds the longest win streak at 16 games, followed by Southern Cal (12), Florida (12), Mississippi (7) and Southern Mississippi (7). Iowa won its fi nal three regular season games a year ago (Penn State, Purdue, Minnesota) and defeated South Carolina in the 2009 Outback Bowl before opening with wins over Northern Iowa and Iowa State.
-- This is a regional ABC broadcast at 2:30. The game also will be available on ESPN360.com.
-- Safety Tyler Sash shared the Big Ten player of the week honors. He had a record-tying three interceptions, a team-high 10 tackles and two tackles for loss. Sash was also named national defensive performer of the week by College Football Performance Awards (collegefootballperformance.com). The organization recognizes players at all positions each week during the college football season and honors national “Performers of the Year” at the end of the season. Hawkeye TE Tony Moeaki earned honorable mention from collegefootballperformance.com after having 10 receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown in Iowa's opening win over Northern Iowa.
Sash, a 6-1, 210-pound sophomore from Oskaloosa, IA, won his second career defensive player of the week honor. He also took the award following Iowa's win over Penn State last season. He shared the honor this week with Minnesota linebacker Nate Triplett.
-- With two blocked field goals in the opening win over Northern Iowa, Iowa tied a school and NCAA Div. I record. Iowa became the only Division I football team to block fi eld goal attempts on consecutive plays. Iowa previously blocked two kicks during a game on fi ve occasions. Most recently, DE Kenny Iwebema blocked two Syracuse field goal attempts in Iowa's 35-0 win over the Orange on Sept. 8, 2007.
-- Iowa secondary coach Phil Parker and Arizona head coach Mike Stoops were both named first team all-Big Ten defensive backs in 1983 and 1984. Parker was a junior at Michigan State in 1984 while Stoops was a senior at Iowa.
-- The Arizona game marks the fi rst of two Iowa will play in which the opposing head coach is a former Hawkeye player. Like UA Coach Mike Stoops, Wisconsin Coach Bret Bielema also played for Iowa, and like Stoops, helped the Hawkeyes earn a Rose Bowl berth. Iowa is the only Division I program in the nation that will play two regular season games in which the opposing head coach is coaching against his alma mater.
-- Arizona is 13-22 all-time against current members of the Big Ten, having played all 11 teams at least once.
