Stabbing victim returns to scene of fight, is arrested

After he was stabbed in the back Saturday afternoon, Ray Robertson was arrested.

Robertson, 19, of 1263 First Ave, SE, was charged with disorderly conduct after returning to the scene and calling 911 about 1:15 p.m., police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said.

Robertson told police he'd been fighting with another man near the corner of Fourth Avenue and 16th Street SE when a woman ran up from behind him and stabbed him in the back, according to Hamblin. He got a ride to Mercy Medical Center for treatment of his minor injury, then went back to the area where the fight happened, where the officers responding to his 911 call arrested him for his role in the earlier fight.

Robertson was released from jail after an initial court appearance.
