Media failing to hold Obama accountable
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Jul. 18, 2010 12:57 am
The mainstream media continues a love affair with President Obama. It refuses to report anything reflecting negatively on the administration, such as:
1) The Department of Justice dismissed the cases of the New Black Panthers, who were adjudged guilty of voter intimidation. A DOJ attorney resigned over this miscarriage of justice and alleges the DOJ will not prosecute voter intimidation cases if the alleged offenders are black.
2) Charles Bolden, head of NASA, twice claimed Obama told him that his foremost duty was to reach out to Muslim countries and make them feel good about their past achievements in math and science!
3) Obama bypassed Congress and appointed Donald Berwick to head Medicare and Medicaid. Berwick is a far-left academic, who believes the United Kingdom has an ideal health care system with its government control and rationed care.
4) Obama initially refused, for almost two months, the offer of skimmers from other countries to assist in the Gulf oil disaster.
Our nation remains at risk when the media fails to maintain a check on government, aiding and abetting uncontrolled growth of government and loss of our liberties.
