Corridor businesses, CEOs among finalists for technology awards

A sizable number of Corridor business leaders and high-tech companies have been selected as finalists for the annual Prometheus Awards from the Technology Association of Iowa.
The Prometheus Awards are the technology industry's premier celebration of extraordinary achievements among high-tech businesses and individuals. Leann Jacobsen, president of the Technology Association of Iowa, said a record number of nominations were submitted for this year's awards.
"These nominations included one of the most highly competitive pools to date and include many new names from across Iowa," Jacobsen said. "I think people will be excited about the companies and the technologies that have made it to the finalist stage."
Corridor finalists by category are:
Software Company of the Year (small/medium): Cyber-Anatomy Corp., Iowa City;
IT Service Provider of the Year: Involta LLC, Marion, and Ovation Networks Inc., Cedar Rapids;
Clean Technology Company of the Year: Ovation Networks Inc.;
Best User of Technology: ActiveGrade LLC, Iowa City, and Ovation Networks;
Innovation in Teaching: Cyber-Anatomy;
CEO of the Year: Dawn Ainger, Genova Technologies, Cedar Rapids; Tim Guenther, Clickstop, Urbana; Matt Miller, MobileDemand, Hiawatha;
Top Growth Company of the Year: Clickstop and Genova Technologies;
Outstanding Startup Company of the Year: Cyber-Anatomy;
Life Sciences Company of the Year: Terpenoid Therapeutics Inc., Coralville;
Technology Company of the Year (small/medium): Cyber-Anatomy and Ovation Networks;
Technology Company of the Year (large/enterprise): Clickstop and MobileDemand.
This year's Prometheus Award winners will be announced April 11 during an evening event at Veterans Memorial Community Choice Credit Union Auditorium in Des Moines. The annual ceremony, which is attended by hundreds of industry leaders, is sponsored by the Technology Association of Iowa, the Entrepreneurial Development Center, Cedar Rapids; LWBJ Financial, West Des Moines; Merit Resources, Urbandale; and Applied Art and Technology, Des Moines.
