Former Rider Donovan on national junior team

Former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Matt Donovan is among 29 players that have the opportunity to play for the 2010 U.S. Under-19 national junior hockey team at the IIHF World Junior Championships in late December-early January.
Donovan is a freshman at the University of Denver and a draft pick of the NHL's New York Islanders. He played for the RoughRiders in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. He is one of 10 current and former USHL players on the initial U.S. roster.
The World Junior Championship is Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Saskatchewan.
