Eliminate weapons of mass destruction

I ask you: When our Founding Fathers included the words 'right to bear arms” as part of the Second Amendment to our Constitution, what did 'arms” refer to? Weapons of mass destruction were not invented at that time. Therefore, our Founding Fathers could not possibly be referring to them.
And yet, our Congressman illogically hide behind the Second Amendment as a reason to allow all weapons to be a part of general society. And, in exchange for their non-action, the National Rifle Association most generously helps fund their reelections.
Stand up to these congressmen. Weapons of mass destruction have no place in our society.
