We’ve become numb to foul language

I agree with the column by Amy Hamisch (“Lack of civility becoming the norm,” July 5) in regards to today's expletive language. Talk show hosts and hostesses, their guests - it's disturbing, disgusting.
The adage is that if you hit your thumb with a hammer often enough, it gets numb. We are getting well beyond the point, doncha think? Kind of like the lemurs who follow their leader, blindly, right off the cliff.
Hamisch's column was well written, right on. But I wonder who will rise up against her. And maybe me, if this is printed.
