CEDAR RAPIDS - The last of three scheduled public input sessions is set for tonight on a Cedar Rapids Community School District plan that could dramatically impact the district's facilities.
Tonight's input session is set from 6 to 8 p.m. in the cafeteria at Washington High School. 2205 Forest Dr. SE.
As it stands, the plan would shutter eight of Cedar Rapids' 21 elementary schools. Many of the remaining schools would be torn down and rebuilt on the same sites, Superintendent Brad Buck said.
