Outgoing Cedar Rapids council reception and Corbett portrait unveiling Tuesday
CEDAR RAPIDS - The city of Cedar Rapids will host a reception for the five outgoing City Council members from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday with a ceremony and the unveiling of Mayor Ron Corbett's portrait.
The unveiling will be at 3 p.m. The reception and ceremony will be held outside the council chambers, located on the third floor of City Hall, 101 First St. SE.
The reception will honor Corbett and council members Kris Gulick, Ralph Russell, Pat Shey and Justin Shields for their years of service.
The wall outside the council chambers features charcoal sketches of each of the Cedar Rapids mayors.
The event is open to the public.
