CAROLE JEAN (BUNNEY) BORSCHEL

Carole Jean (Bunney) Borschel, 83, of Anamosa, Iowa, formerly of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. A private family graveside service will be held at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion, Iowa. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Carole was born on March 26, 1938, in Stockton, Calif., the daughter of Chet and Ramona (Mathewson) Bunney. She graduated from Marion High School. On Nov. 26, 1957, Carole was united in marriage to James Jay Borschel at the United Methodist Church in Marion. To this union, three children were born, James Jr., Kathryn, and Steven. Carole loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Carole is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, James J. Borschel of Anamosa; three children, James J. Jr. (Carol) Borschel of Marion, Kathryn K. (Bill) McCorkle of Cordova, Ill., and Steven J. Borschel of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald Bunney of Menominee Falls, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chet and Ramona Bunney.
