TWAN "MOOSE" FARMER
Cedar Rapids
Twan "Moose" Farmer lost her battle to depression on Monday, April 19, 2021. Twan is survived by her parents, her Conestoga family, her Agnes Scott family, her Build-a-Bear family, her Nordstrom family, her Toyota family, and her four-legged companion, Lemon. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, June Farmer, and four-legged kids, Maguire and Petrie.
She was a passionate reader, a courageous writer and, above all else, a friend.
She collected nieces and siblings by bringing together people who needed unconditional love and support. Twan had an unending capacity for love, and somehow knew exactly what anyone needed - whether that was a hug, an ear, or a shoulder. She was sunshine in human form.
She will be remembered as a leader, a role model, a cheerleader, a counselor, a lifelong Girl Scout, a Ravenclaw, a Disney Super-Fan, but above all else, a friend.
Twan would want us to remember that "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."
Twan's Celebration of Life service will be held at Camp Conestoga, date TBD. Another celebration of life will be held in Atlanta, Ga., date also TBD. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Cedar Bend Humane Society.
