Chadek, Carl
Carl Chadek, lifetime resident of Iowa City and well-known businessman, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009. He celebrated his 100th birthday in September 2009. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City, with the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, where a parish vigil service will be held at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Iowa City Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Visiting Nurse Association and Iowa City Hospice.
