Beckfield, Robert K.
Robert K. Beckfield, 76, of Belle Plaine, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Albert City, where friends may call after noon Thursday. Burial: Storm Lake Cemetery, Storm Lake. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, John (April) of Cedar Rapids and Thomas of California; one daughter, Sharon Murphy of California; two sisters, Pat (Jim) Albrecht of Runnells and Phyllis (Melvin) Madsen of Laurens; and four grandchildren.
Bob was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Storm Lake, the son of Albert and Doris Dunn Beckfield. Bob worked at Farmstead and retired from there after more than 25 years of service.
Bob enjoyed collecting many different items from collectible tractors to cars. He proudly served in the U.S. Army.
Bob will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established.
