CEDAR RAPIDS - The Senate Judiciary Committee on March 14 will consider the nomination of U.S. Attorney Stephanie Rose and others to the federal bench, Sen. Tom Harkin's office announced Wednesday.
The committee will meet at 2:45 p.m., and a webcast of the nominations can be viewed here.
President Barack Obama nominated Rose last month for the federal bench in Iowa's Southern District. If approved, she will replace Chief Justice Robert Pratt, who retires July 1.
Rose, 39, of Center Point, has worked in the U.S. Attorney's Office since graduating from law school, one of the youngest hired at the time. She worked her way up to the top spot in 2009.
Newly Appointed United States Attorney Stephanie Rose.
