Thomas W. Greenwalt, 68, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at home. Per his wishes, no services will be held.
Born May 28, 1949, in Vallejo, Calif., Thomas was the son of Ronald and Barbara Greenwalt and the fourth of seven children. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. He served the Army in the Vietnam War and came home to marry his wife of 35 years, Jeri. He lived and worked in Cedar Rapids for the rest of his life. Tom enjoyed supporting his kids' and grandkids' various activities, golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Tom and Jeri had two children, Sean (Heather) Greenwalt and Shanan (Todd) Reed. Also left to cherish their memory are five grandchildren, whom they loved and adored, Peyton, Paige and Parker Reed and Emma and Zach Greenwalt. He also is survived by siblings Peg, Greg, Jim and Mary.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, parents and sisters Shirley and Kathy.
