May, Doris B.
Doris B. May, 93, of Cedar Rapids, died Oct. 14, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Visitation will begin at noon Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her son, David L. May and wife Debbie of Hiawatha; her son-in-law, Kenneth McCreedy of Boones Mill, Va.; her grandchildren, Amy Fortner and husband Scott of Rowley and Ryan May of Cedar Rapids; and one great-grandson, Austin Fortner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; her brother, Robert Preston; and her daughter, Nancy McCreedy.
Doris was born May 10, 1918, in Cedar Rapids, to William and Jennie (Cook) Preston. She married Dale Edwin May in Mount Vernon. Doris enjoyed time with her family and pets.
