IDOT wasted money on road repair

To the editor:
Last year, the Iowa Department of Transportation hired some one to fix the on and off ramps at the Urbana exit to Interstate 380.
The whole job was badly botched and the roads are almost as rough as before they were fixed. What is the excuse for this shoddy work?
If the IDOT would try to better 'take care” of the roads that are already here, we'd be driving on better roads! The one thing IDOT is good at is taking tons of Iowa taxpayer money and making it disappear. It's called waste.
Some of our Iowa departments have evolved into extremely high money-wasting departments, because they can. They rule, we abide. I invite anyone to come to Urbana's on and off ramps to see what I mean.
