Krezek, Ed
Ed Krezek, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone, officiated by Jerry Shannon. Interment will be held at Oneida Cemetery near Clutier. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. today.
Ed was born April 20, 1928, in Clutier, to Edward and Helen (Koontz) Krezek, and graduated from Clutier High School in 1945. From 1947 to 1948, he served his nation in the U.S. Army. On Jan. 24, 1951, he married Ellen Havran at Belle Plaine. Ed farmed in the Clutier area and was a member of a Polka Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; his children, Ed (Cindy) Krezek of Waterloo, and Kathy (David) Larson and Sue (Daniel) Sherman, both of Marengo; his grandchildren, Lindsey Krezek, Ryan Harrison and Nicholas Harrison; and his great-grandchildren, Kelcey and Paul Harrison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Bobbie.
