Rosemary Lillian Prewett, 87, of Grand Rapids, Minn., formerly of Richfield, Minn., passed away peacefully Oct. 16, 2014.
Rosemary L. Cheek was born to Claire Marie Keyhill and Tom Lavery Cheek on Feb. 6, 1927, in Joplin, Mo. She married on Aug. 12, 1947, to Melvin Allen Prewett, also of Joplin.
She was predeceased by Melvin and son, Jim.
She is lovingly survived by children, Chris (Amy), Pat, Beth (Jenny), Phil and Rich (Ami); grandchildren, Shannon Stephens, Jessie, Makeda, Clayton, Harrison and Grace; and great-grandson, Jason Shorman.
She was a tiny speck in the universe, who believed in an adventure a day, and lived to the fullest. Now she's that new weird-shaped star in the sky, that odd off-colored one right up there. Be the best that you can be!
Celebration of Life Gathering: 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 1 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave. South, Edina MN 55435. Sharing of memories begins at 6 p.m.
