Ford, Joyce Elizabeth

Joyce Elizabeth Ford, 84, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died there Friday, Jan. 13, 2012. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Nancy Redman. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Leighton; four children, James (Sue) Ford of Marion, Russell (JoAnn) Ford of Mason City, Beth (David) Steele of Eagan, Minn., and Paul Ford of Marion; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Eicher.

Joyce was born Aug. 2, 1927, the daughter of William and Geneva (Lute) Eicher in Henry County. She graduated from Iowa State Teachers College. On June 25, 1950, she married Leighton Ford in Wayland, Iowa.

Joyce was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Marion.
